I was driving back from the post office Saturday morning, and since I'd had it in my mind to try to connect a couple trails between conservation land & a local park, I decided to first drive by to gauge snowfall amounts.
He was taken over to the Kilham Bear Center right away, in NH. They keep cubs in semi-wild conditions to rehabilitate them for a year, and then bring them back to where they found them in some cases.
It's hard to know. The game warden's were going to do a little investigating. A local heard a gunshot in the area during that day ... but ... it's conjecture at this point.
